Yeah, I was just contemplating the fact that "leftist" and "commie" are great adjectives for "degenerate", but they are largely interchangeable e.g. "degenerate Leftists" and "Leftist degenerates" work equally well.
The "Furthermore..." paragraph is the best piece of this post. IMO the biggest issue with "woke" is its strictly "culture war" connotations, which leads the term to invite hand-waving from leftists who proclaim they hate woke stuff too, duping gullible conservatives and moderates.

As opposed to “paleocommie”? I don’t think communism has been crushed then re-emerged anew, like Naziism. The communism of Marx, Lenin, Stalin, and Mao is the same communism practiced today by Xi, Kim, Maduro, Castro, and if not restrained, by American Democrats. No need to “make up” new terms (like “woke” and “neo-whatever”) when the old terms work just fine.
